Rear Grit Suction Unit
FOR DEEP CLEANING OF THE CARRIAGEWAY
Surface suction unit installed below the frame of the vehicle, behind the rear axle of the chassis. Thus, suction is possible across the full width of the vehicle. Comprising of three individually suspended suction ducts, adapts perfectly to the surface of the carriageway and provides optimum cleaning. The suction is carried out with little wear, through integrated tubes in the rear hatch door, for direct feeding into the debris hopper. Pneumatic closing flaps on the inside prevent the return of contamination from the hopper onto the carriageway. Due to the installation of the surface suction unit below the frame of the vehicle, manoeuvring is easier and safer for the driver.
The swivel radius for the surface suction unit is short, thus, e.g. it prevents the suction unit knocking the edge of the kerb when cornering. Thus, any costly damage is prevented.
