BROCK FFR

The rubber skid marks on the runways is removed and completely sucked up. All of the units required for this are hydraulically-operated by this type of vehicle. The drive lines required are removed, firstly at a direct auxiliary drive and, secondly, through an intermediate gearbox (in the drive train) with hydrostatic traction.

The 1000 mm surface cleaner, installed between the first and second axle, can be raised and pivoted into the chassis in less than 3 seconds. This makes it possible to exit the runway within 10 seconds in the event of an emergency.

The water level in the fresh water tank is monitored. When a low fill quantity is attained, the operator/driver is informed acoustically and optically. When the water level continues to decrease, the system automatically switches to “unpressurized” (= dry run protection for the HD pump). In order to prevent damage to the processing surface, the high pressure is immediately switched off as soon as the driver activates the clutch. When commissioning, the high pressure can only be switched on when the vehicle is moving. Also at high loads (2500 bar and 29 l/min and a travelling speed of 2.5 km/h), the water and debris is completely sucked up and discharged into the used water tank.
